Just a few things are real...I agree fully with you. Just a few things are really needed. During a decade I almost used only one fly. A fly I call The Mink. When a friend and I were going to a small river up north in the middle of the 80'ties I just tied 2 dozen of that fly to have with me. In one day I must have taken about 40 trout of which I released almost all and all those dry flies where wet. On some I had taken 2 or 3 trout. So why complicate things.
