You concept of tying it on smaller hooks makes great sense.
You do not tie in hackle on the body of your fly, or do you?
I have to check back in my blog posts to see if I ever tied the "fluttering caddis"Brk Trthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12677442640158367831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-7405824094544509092018-02-15T15:21:14.603-05:002018-02-15T15:21:14.603-05:00Len Wright calls his pattern the "Fluttering ...Len Wright calls his pattern the "Fluttering Caddis" described in his books "Fishing the Dry Fly as a Living Insect" and "Fly Fishing Heresies". My tie is slightly different as I use a hook that is 4 sizes smaller than the size I am trying to imitate to allow for a longer down wing with a small hook that I find I can twitch better. So if I tie a Fluttering Caddis that appears size 12 I use a size 16 hook.NJpatbeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00025112886060368479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-21799627198074565332018-02-12T19:38:25.665-05:002018-02-12T19:38:25.665-05:00NJpatbee
