I have plans for these streamers, and I'm sure they will happen.
Today is one of those days when what you had planned is not going to happen. So you say take whats given and deal with it. Well that's sometimes easier said than done, and trying to cope with it just becomes more difficult especially as your years progress.
I'm an easy going sort of person and I can take things with that grain of salt, but between yesterday and today I need a whole salt mine.
Well enough of my rant, this is supposed to be a fly fishing blog. So I hope you'll enjoy the streamers, I know they are an image that eases my mind.
Lovely streamers! I hope your plans with them will be fulfilled. And, yes, often what we plan turnes out a different way than we wanted. We have to make the best of what is given to us. That's the best way to deal with it even if it's not so easy always.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the streamers above,

Good advice, JM.
When your plans don't turn out the way you want them to, you can always blame it on that "Murphy" guy. I really enjoy looking at streamers like those, but would be hard presses to put something that pretty in the water.

We all have dealt with Murphy once or twice.
Flies are always the holders of such possibility. And although not today, perhaps yet their day may come. We hold to that hope. Beautiful post!

So very true Erin.
Nice photo and very worthy of a place at the top of the page.

I like that, Howard. Top shelf sort of.
Hang in there. The fish will be waiting when things come together as planned.
ReplyDeleteJay,
DeleteThanks. I'm going to hold them to it.
Is part of the plan Upper Dam?

It sure is. The header photo is Upper Dam on the Mooselook side.
Rants can be good for you....like fishing, it can be a pressure release for all of the crap we have to put up with on a daily basis. Hang in there.

Rants and fishing, thanks for both.
I want to buy the bottom streamer from you. Both look beautiful.

That can be arranged, but they come as a set.

ReplyDeleteThose streamers should be under glass, they are beyond good!! Great combo for the header image on your blog. Like you I need to get back on the water, I am having withdrawal symptoms.

Your compliments are much appreciated.
Rants are good for you, helps to get your problems, tying streamers like that probably do the same for you that they do for me,shut out the world for a while, get everything into perspectiveand after that is all over you have created something that will give you pleasure in the future and help you get past the bad things that were happening.

Your comments tell so much. Thanks.
I'd love to know the recipes for those two! I can almost figure out the bottom but can't tell for sure if thats some grey bucktail under the white in the throat. Plans, well plans fall apart, they're often had to stick to, and require too many things having to go right. I figure a plan is something fairly concrete, causeing a bigger bummer when it falls apart. So I just have ideas, an idea can be changed, warped, skweed, altered and so on. When an idea doesn't work out, no big deal I'll have another.

I'll post the ingredients in a future post.
I say thanks for the comments.
