It was first dreamed up by Hoagy Carmichael and published by Chauncy K Lively in his book "Chauncy's Flybox". Its called simply "Little Orange Mayfly".John Dornikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04244892643352562421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-14016686930742845142017-09-29T19:43:26.004-04:002017-09-29T19:43:26.004-04:00Steve Hynes

I guess this might make it International Coffee Day!
It goes without saying that the flies look great. Are they both dry flies or do they have that dual purpose " Fish dry until it sinks, then fish it wet"? The "Corey's Calf Tail" looks a little like a "Crackleback" fly with a sighter tuft.
Enjoy National Coffee Day.
Kindest Regards,
Steve.
Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17349271164490121533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-69290082861416204812017-09-29T13:32:24.196-04:002017-09-29T13:32:24.196-04:00Alan not too dissimilar to a supa pupa pattern we ...Alan not too dissimilar to a supa pupa pattern we use here for Grayling & trout, only exception being we cut off the top hackles and the bottom hackles just leaving them comign from the sides, great fly and accounts for a lot of fish I catch on dries.Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06926692554414114477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-52964561791753467272017-09-29T13:14:45.022-04:002017-09-29T13:14:45.022-04:00Alan
