Nothing better than catching ...I'll say, Alan. Nothing better than catching a trout on the unusual fly. The nice brown I caught Sunday evening right at dusk hit a #14 hare's ear. A good sized nymph, I wonder if trout don't think they are cray fish with the somewhat bushy tail on them. The hit was a no doubter, nothing subtle about it.Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08858232423819687001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-68373437104454004792018-12-14T14:34:40.892-05:002018-12-14T14:34:40.892-05:00Funny enough Alan, thoughts of fishing have once m...Funny enough Alan, thoughts of fishing have once more appeared in my mind of late...that and a return, after several years absence and an increase in weight of two and a half stone! to hill walking. I can't tell you how much I enjoy your site here. I like the fact you toss bigger flies once in a while. I do the same. Swift River where I mostly fish, I always heard that it was go small or go home. I catch my share on bigger flies which are more to my liking.

Best, SamSamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08858232423819687001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7050365015235775568.post-62042757206606081492018-12-13T18:20:17.283-05:002018-12-13T18:20:17.283-05:00Beaverdam
