ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this great giveaway?
ReplyDeleteJust a quick anecdote: I was at a conference this last August and happened to run into Yvon Choinard, founder of Patagonia. Of course we got talking about fishing for sea-run brook trout.
He related that he'd been fishing a lot for SRBT in two hemispheres - he said how he'd been fishing all year with just one fly and it had been out-fishing everything everyone else was using. Presumably he was using Tenkara as well but we didn't talk about that.
What fly was he using?
A pheasant tail soft hackle.
recently I'm coming home and I was not here for Christmas, but it is never too late to appreciate this generous and ponder his attitude as always his entertaining blog and these wonderful flies.
