To those who visit this blog, and take the time to read it, comment on it and generally fill it with insightful and meaningful words, I have a few gifts to show my appreciation.
All you have to do is comment on this post. On the 21st of December at 7am I'll put the names of all who commented in a box and I'll have Jeanette draw the winners. The names of the winners will be posted soon after. Merry Christmas friends.
The first gift is a plastic fly box. Double-sided with ample space for enough flies for a day on the water. In the box will be 9 of my soft-hackles including my newest pattern which I have not tested as of yet, but I have high hopes on it.
The second gift will be the streamer "Labonte"....Tied in the Rangeley style.
Merry Christmas. Your posts help me get out of the office for a few minutes every day.
ReplyDeleteSame for me, Ken. How I enjoy Alan's blog site.

Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas,
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that you highlight fishing streams most people never look at as holding trout. No false casting, no long casts just sneek and peak fishing acting like a predator to avoid spooking fish. The reward, the most beautiful colorful fish. I am fortunate to live in NH where I have steep freestone mountain streams and spring-like creeks full of vegetation and woody snags. Thank you for showing it is not about grip and grin with big fish.
Alan,
ReplyDeleteWow! You really are Santa Claus! The patterns look terrific! Please let me be a winner....please let me be a winner....
As always, your blog is such a joy! It's like a morning cup of coffee!
Dougsden

ReplyDeleteSeems good incentive to participate and comment your blog Alan, did not know that there were so many followers to him, but the idea is very good and I wish you and your wife Jeanette a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is a time to be spent with family and good friends. "Family" does not just apply to blood relatives. Family can be a community that you feel that you belong to and this is how it is with "Small Stream Reflections". There is a feeling of warmth and friendship that I have never found in any other fly fishing site. Alan, you kindly and graciously let us accompany you on your many encounters with the places and fish that you so love. I am extremely grateful to you for that. We are all Brothers and Sisters of the Angle. I am both proud and honoured to call you family.
ReplyDeleteKindest Regards to all,
Merry Christmas and I wish you all good fortune and joy in the coming New Year,
Steve.
