Images
Here are some images that we can all relate to. Hopefully you can take a few minutes of thought and see how they to can bring a memory to the front of your mind.
Haven't seen strawberries in a box for awhile. Reminds me of when we used to pick them in MI and the farmer would complain my wife was eating too many. :-)
In fact every thing but the Firebird (or is it a Camaro) brings back something,
Brookie61 Thanks Kurt my Polish friend. If your ever in New Britain stop at the Roly Poly. An awesome Polish bakery and store. Best seeded rye bread in CT.
All relatable except the Camaro for which I substituted my 65 GTO. Also, my tying desk is never that neat while there is a pattern in progress! What is the fly you are tying? Thanks for the pics!
NJpatbee Thanks '65 GTO now there's muscle. I cleaned a bit before I took the photo, believe me it get pretty cluttered. The pattern is Salars Nemesis...a salmon fly created by Sylvester Nemes....it's a great fly for trout.
An interesting and eclectic mix Alan for sure..... The strawberries and toasty brought a smile to my face. We got some strawberries from my father's allotment this weekend. He has been ill most of the year so far and hasn't been over there much of late. I say some, it was over 3lbs(!) some of which me and my youngest turned into strawberry jam (jelly). Also me and my youngest had cheese toasties with home made whole meal sour dough and mature cheddar cheese. Thanks for the smile (it has cheered me up whilst I am away in Scotland again!) Alistair
Alistair Thanks I love native strawberries, but must say I favor blueberries more, they will be in season soon. Your style of grilled cheese sounds great.
Alan, we have a relative of the blueberry here in the UK by the names of bilberry or blaeberry. The will be ready in about 6 weeks time and can be found over most of our upland moors and mountains. We make a special trip to a wonderful rocky outcrop every year to pick berries (and for the kids to climb the rock formations) then make bilberry jams, pies and cakes.
Alistair those upland moors sound interesting. Your use of bilberries is exactly what we do with our blueberries. We also make a blueberry pancake and enjoy them at breakfast.
Those are some nice images for sure. A cup of Green Mountain is always a welcome experience :)

Bill I have a farm right down the road and the berries are so fresh they are still growing when they are on my table.
It's a '74 Camaro.
OK, I'm good for the day.

You're bringing back a lot of great memories. There is nothing like good seeded rye bread from a bakery.

Sam that Camaro was in a small town in the Berkshires. We stopped and dreamed about those times when American Muscle was king.
