Fly Tyers Roundtable 2015

Last night was the annual Fly Tyers Roundtable hosted by the Connecticut Fly Fisherman's Association.

I had a great time tying and meeting some wonderful people.

I would like to thank the members and the fine folks who turned out.

How I wish I could have been there, don't know nothing much about tying flies, but to be in the presence of all you guys tying would have been rewarding-----the Picket Pin and Soft Hackle performed excellent today on our tailrace, complete with some live action footage--watch for the post in a couple days. Thanks for sharing

  2. Alan,
Thank you and all who came out. I was able to learn a bunch of tips and tricks from some great tyers. I paid extra attention to the soft hackles you were tying and the little blacks are mighty fishy.

    Thanks again,
    Kurt

  3. The best way to learn is to watch excellent tiers.

There were a few of them there Howard, and I learned. Only hope I retain some of it.

  4. Good looking flies. Nice heads. Great body proportions. What hook is the shorter one?

      Thanks.
That is a little black bug, same as the longer one. The other in a burgundy bodied, badger soft hackle.
