Yesterday I went to fish a small brook. Before I started my trek up the hill I decided to take a walk through a field that is close by. The time I spent here was over two hours. There was so much to be seen in the field I lost track of time.
Let me take you along and I hope you enjoy the walk.

Theresa I thought you might like it.
What an enjoyable two hours it must have been for sure. Thanks for the reminder to stop once in awhile and smell the roses.

Mel it was a delight. We sometimes loose sight of what good there is out in plain view.
Mel have you been trying to email me?
Alan, would love to share some email with you, but no I have not, that I am aware of.................
DeleteGorgeous pictures! I had a similar experience on Sunday morning. I went to fish a stream and ended up hiking along it for an hour and a half up to the confluence of its two tributaries, snacking on blueberries, startling a few deer, and enjoying the woods. This left me with only an hour and a half to actually fish, but I was able to catch about a dozen. Simply being out there is enough for me anyway.

A lovely place to share.
Took a similar field walk yesterday. So many subtle beauties to be found, for just pausing and looking around! Thanks for sharing some of them.

Walt isn't it great to be able to enjoy fishing without ever wetting a line.

ReplyDeleteAll the images are outstanding, but my favorite is the mushroom, I love to eat Portobello mushrooms on everything from hamburgers, to cascades, I wonder if that one is safe to eat? Excellent camera work, thanks for sharing

That was a huge mushroom, the pic really doesn't quite show it. I'm not a mushroom forager so I could not tell you if it was safe to eat. Portobello's are a favorite of mine also.
I can see why time became forgotten, a beautiful place indeed.

I know the bushes are loaded with them. Next time out I'll bring a few containers.
