For those who love small streams, wild trout, and life...in their simplest form
So awesome! At the same time, astonishes me when I see some of the waters these amazing fish scrape a living in. Amazing!
HibernationThanksWill they do, and it amazes me. That video was shot on 2-4-16, during that brief warm-up.
wow, that's awesome!
TexWisGirlThanksTheresa it's one of my favorite places.
Great video of a beautiful stream, Alan. I agree with Hibernation in that it is indeed amazing the brook trout make a living in that small a water most especially during the hot months. There must be just enough spring water seepage to keep it cold enough.
Parachute AdamsThanksSam that stream has been quite low in past summers. The brookies come through OK though and they were active the day I took the footage.
That stream looks very healthy and very inviting. Are their any other species of trout in the stream?
Brad BasehoreThanksBrad for as long as I have fished it I have only taken brook trout. This winter I hooked a brown quite far upstream.
That pool near the middle of the video looks very "brook trout-y". It would produce some beautiful brook trout.
Ben MckinleyThanksBen it is and was a place I poked a brookie that day.
When faced with an emergency situation there is always the possibility that access to fresh, clean water is limited. water tie in Massachusetts
Beautiful little creek Alan. It's been awhile...I almost forgot how soothing the sound of a small stream can be as it meanders it's path down the mountain. Makes me want to put a sound byte of running water on every trip report I do.
HighPlainsFlyFisherThanksJeff very relaxing, brings us back to the reality of earth.
Beautiful stream. The resilience of brookies is amazing. Nature finds a way.
Brookie61ThanksKurt we must have said your exact words countless times...truly amazing.
AlanWater music to one's ears----what really impressed me about this video aside from it's beauty-----it was filmed without "MUSIC" ----I usually don't watch a fly fishing video that has music that drowns out natures sound. I hope you let us see more of those beautiful streams you fish there. This was one of my favorite post!! Thanks for sharing
Bill TrussellThanksBill how can we block natures sounds with recording studio overplays. Not here.I have another video of that same stream when it was ice covered that I hope to share.
Pretty, scenic, serene, little brook!! Sort of a promise of things to come!!!
TROUTIThanksPete it's all you said. Another month or so hopefully.
very nice stream and the film too
Armando MilosevicThanksArmando it's small but has some beautiful wild brookies.
