Videos

I don't often take videos while fishing. Sometimes a scene strikes me as being special for one reason or another and I'll press record and let it happen. Here are a couple of them that I hope you'll enjoy.

  1. As I played the stream video I found myself looking at all the little pockets where trout lie. It's really no so different than my NM favorites.

Bill so relaxing. Actually that one was a bit loud. Usually the flow is more subdued.

Great videos. The sound alone add 10x to the experience.

How tempted were you to drop a dry fly in front of that Brookie?
    Thanks

Alistair I would have loved to try my hand at getting a fly in front of that brookie. One move and he would have been gone.

  6. Great videos, Alan. Hearing that stream along with the birds chirping in the rising brookie video does me a lot of good this time of year. What was it that brookie ate? Interesting that he let it pass by then changed his mind and backtracked to get it. They sure are quick when they make their mind up to hit.

Sam it looked like a spinner floating by. I had seen him take one other before the camera was turned on. It looked to be a good size fly. They do have eyes all around them.

    2. As I studied that video again I don't think it ever lost sight of spinner as it floated by and behind as I thought the first time I watched it. For some reason the brook trout let it go by but was still eye balling it, and preferred to get it a bit downstream rather than as it passed over its position.

    3. Sam he never took his eye of the target. I believe he was feeding on small emergers before he took that spinner.
