Our Anniversary

On Sunday November 17th 2019 Jeanette and I celebrated 50 years of marriage. No large festive gathering, just the two of us looking back over so much that has transpired. Most of which has been so wonderful, with some not so happy times. But the two of us worked to rise above the bad and now look forward to many more years together. The diner in the picture was one of our favorite places. As far back as high school this was a place to meet late nights for coffee and....So it was here we decided to have an Anniversary Breakfast in a place that brought back many memories.

So instead of a champagne toast over filet mignon it was a toast of coffee over eggs and sausage and blueberry pancakes....simplicity my friends it works in life.

  1. Congrats! 50 years is one heck of a milestone. How did an old curmudgeon like you land a cute girl like that?

  4. My wife Mirian says that you give Jeanette some gold for 50 years of happiness, beautiful postcard, if you really make a simple life and achieve happiness between them, that's the slogan. Mirian and I send you a big hug and hope it will be many more years ... Congratulations.

Mark the birth of a child is a happening that can't really be told in words, at least for me. It's truly great.

  7. Reminds me of the Beattle's song "When I'm 64" or Harry Chapin's "Dreams go By" Good stuff. 50 years, where did they go... Congrats to you and Jeanette and may there be so many more!

Joe as an example, seeing your child take their first steps is a memory that is as clear as a bell. My 34th birthday party, I don't recall. I bet you can relate to what I'm saying.

  11. Congrats Alan and Jeanette on a milestone; here's hoping you all have many more years ahead of you. I would guess the food at the Olympia is worthy of a visit from Guy Fieri? Thanks for sharing

John time seems to move slowly until you reach a certain age then it kicks into overdrive. It's nice to have someone to share the time with.

Sam through many of those years it was Jeanette who kept me on the straight and narrow, and I'm a better person for that.
I kind of figured you were of the same when it came to celebrations.
