Changes

It is only mid September but already The subtle changes can be seen telling us that a season will end, and another will begin.
Autumn is a beautiful time to be out in woods, and yesterday proved it right. The air was cool and the signs were there. Leaves on the color, bees so very active, and tons of acorns, that crunch under foot. The stream even showed its colors, through its water that is crystal clear its rocks show there colors.

Yesterday was a special day on this small stream, and enjoyed by me..... enjoy it too.

A tiny tributary joins this stream. Small white wild flowers border it, along with a few colored leaves.

Lunch will always be good, when eaten out here.

Leaves lying on a stone, the stream rushing by. Where will these leaves meet their final resting place.

The brook trout starts to show their Autumn changes, making this wild little jewel even more beautiful. In days to come he will lie on the bottom of the stream and watch the colored leaves float over his head.

A simple grilled pizza...... what color.

  2. What is in the sandwich? Do you have Marmite over there? A toasted Marmite sandwich eaten cold is a fine boost to the inner being on an Autumn day by the water...

  3. My wife and I took the kids for a walk in the woods this weekend and we also noted the "smell of Autumn" in the air. It's always our favorite time of year. Thanks for the post.

    Thanks.
    I appreciate it.

    Regular Rod,
    Thanks.
The sandwich is peanut butter and jelly, a very packable lunch. I'm not sure what Marmite is.

  9. Yes Fall is here. I went for a hike with my wife the other day and noticed the same changes; however, we did not find any trout streams only sunny ponds.

    Thanks.
I think your developing a passion for the brookie.

    Trout Magee,
Thanks. It seem as if the brookies are competing with the foliage for the most vibrant colors.

    Savage,
    Thanks.
A brisk walk, and some sunny ponds are OK.
