Pointing ducks and other things

This was supposed to be a post about a trout stream, the second stream I mentioned in my last post. So why the watermelon cut up in a bowl? Well I could say it's part of my new healthy choices lifestyle or I could sat the truth. I screwed up. What the hey.

On one my outings I spotted a mallard hen standing on rock in the middle of the stream. She paid no attention to me. She was focused on the far bank. I thought she may have had a few chicks there for safe keeping. Upon further inspection I noticed there were no chicks. Suddenly a dark form went streaking downstream. The form was recognized as a trout.

Mildred the trout pointing duck.

This streamer was created with some materials that had accumulated on the desk. It's really "Knotfancee"

Kabobs...Lamb, Beef, Venison.

Well it was probably not what you were expecting, but for a mistake, not bad.

  2. You always post such lovely foodstuffs...when I'm at work eating dull packed lunches. ;) Watermelon is perhaps my most favorite thing in the whole world. I can eat a whole one, all myself. So good.

    1. Johnny Utah,
      Thanks.
It's usually the not fancy ones that seem to work.

  5. I kind of like the idea of a trout pointing duck...you may just be on to something there. Just not sure how the combination of my dog Joe and Mildred are going to get along!!
I like the new streamer and it's name as well, very poetic.

She was something else. Dogs and ducks= confrontation, only natural.

It's hard teaching an old dog. Doc says some wild food in moderation.

    2. I hear you and I agree....if you dont have some "treats", then it makes it much harder to stay on plan. Chips and ice cream are my constant battles.

I have been into the healthly living ever since I retired. I really try to watch what I eat. My wife always cooks healthly. Fruits like the watermellow are excellent sources of sugar. Keep with the health foods. Thanks for sharing

Watermelon a favorite for sure. It's tough changing but I'm gaining the upper hand.
