Some stuff...........

Some stuff, what's stuff anyway. Never mind. Some of you may receive this magazine and have read it. But for those who have not I suggest you pick up a copy of the March/April American Angler. In it you will find a wonderful article by Steve Culton about small stream fishing for wild brook trout. Steve lives in Connecticut and has logged many miles of small streams in search of these natives. If you have an interest in fishing for these guys, this article can help you a lot. One of these days I may have to hook up with Steve and pick his brain.  Steve's site is, " currentseams.wordpress"

I received the second in the series...."Streamers 365". This is amazing. These flies are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. They are well tied, and Darren's photography is wonderful. This copy can be purchased at Darren's site "streamers365'

We also fished for a few hours yesterday. I'll give a report on it in a few days.

  2. Got my copy of American Angler in the mail sometime in the last couple of weeks, but I haven't had a chance to enjoy it yet. I'll be sure to pay close attention to that article when I get around to it. Thanks for the tip.

It was a nice day outdoors. Not a lot of cooperation from the fish though.

It's a wonderful stream, and is usually productive most times.

  7. Hi Alan!

Seems to be a nice article but I don't think I can get my hands on that magazine where I live. Otherwise I'd go for it! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Thanks, Alan, for the heads up on the article from American Angler. I love reading of your small stream fishing exploits and take a lot of what you say into account while fishing in Colorado waters. (Hopefully soon, got good snow!)

  9. Rainbow Chaser,
    Thanks.
Mel, I've seen the snow you've received on the weather reports. Good stuff to keep those creeks full later this season.
