Morgan, Our Grand-Daughter

The day before Thanksgiving we spent the morning and afternoon at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Chicopee MA. This is where my grand-daughter Morgan took the sworn oath and was enlisted in the U.S. Army. Of all the accomplishments that Morgan has achieved I believe this is the one Jeanette and I are most proud of. Morgan a National Honor Society student is in her senior year of high school. A young lady that has her plate full and looks to add to it. A very unselfish and caring person chose to serve her country before continuing her career in this great land.

Morgan will graduate high school in June and take up Army life at Ft. Jackson S.C.

Jeanette and I with Morgan. I cannot express the immense feeling of pride we felt. I still well up with emotion when I look at this photo.

  2. Brk Trt, WOW!!! This is something that everyone who sleeps under our US flag should be proud of. We who live in this great country need to remember that our freedom in our country really isn't and wasn't free without great people like your grand daughter who are willing to make such a commitment to military life like Morgan has just made.....Phil

Phil young people many like Morgan realize that if they don't step up and do what's right for our country, then we are all in trouble.

  6. Although I never served (not that they didn't try to draft me in 1965) I greatly admire those that do. Congratulations Morgan.

  7. Hi Alan
I can understand how proud you feel, my eldest son is about to be given hus 1st junior NCO rank through his schools Combined Cadet Force. It is an honourable career to pursue, serving ones country. Also being from a (curtailed) military background, I am a strong believer that following a career in the military helps one grow and develop as an individual and provides life lessons that cannot be taught elsewhere. Go girl!!!!
