"Tanic"......"Jim Quimby Special"

I've given this streamer the name of "Tanic", It's colors represent the tea looking colors found in the small streams of the northeast.

The "Jim Quimby Special"

This streamer is named for a man who hails from Rangeley, Maine.
I first made contact with him on a fly tying forum a few years ago, then in person at his work place at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley.
The Quimby name is well known in the history of Rangeley, Manie.
Jim is also a streamer fly tyer.

  5. Lovely! Where are you getting your game cock? I have a Steelhead trip to prepare for in Oct and am having trouble finding good quality locally.

  6. Trout Magee,
    Thanks.
"Tanic" would be a good fly for landlocked salmon,
    trolled behind a canoe.

    Gary T.
    Thanks.
I have had good results purchasing the JC capes on Ebay. There are times when the selection is awesome.

  7. The first streamer does remind me of the water in the northeast corner of CT. Nice flies as always. Maybe one day i will tie something other than a clouser.
