Images in black and white.... old school photography. Images that appear to be made of steel. Images that are dark, and appear to be unreal. Images of objects that are so full of color, now are in a form of lifeless reality.
They are beautiful in there two tone color...Black and White color. They have a soft shine to them that no color can match.
I hope you can see the simple beauty in them, and enjoy.

Brk Trt,
ReplyDeleteB&W photos bring me back to a much simpler time of my child hood. (OK, I'm dating myself!)
Is that a Tiger trout in one of the pictures?
Well done.......DRYFLYGUY
B&W : Ying & Yang. Your kung fu is good.
ReplyDeleteFunny how we all have that option...and never consider using it. Love the pattern on the "tiger"
ReplyDeleteIt does remind you of the old days. That's if you are old enough to remember the old days.
ReplyDeleteMark
Awesome photos. The tiger picture is just.....
ReplyDeleteWOW!
DRYFLYGUY,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
That's OK. That tiger was the second one I caught this year.
Gary Thompson,
Thanks.
Ah yes, Grasshopper.
John,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Some photos look better in B&W. That tiger was sharp.
Shoreman,
Thanks.
I'm with you.....I can remember.
There's something to B&W that color never has. It's timeless...perhaps that "made of iron" description of yours says it best.
ReplyDeleteG. Lech,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
That tiger was very photogenic... as well as an awesome fighter.
e.m.b.,
Thanks.
They are like old newspaper photos, timeless.
"Images that appear to be made of steel. "
ReplyDeleteThat phrase is a keeper. Nicely done.
I really like black and white pictures, these are great.
ReplyDeleteI like how the black and white sets a different mood...thanks for sharing some great photos.
ReplyDeleteSteve Zakur,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Rick Kratzke,
Thanks.
They kind of grow on you, especially the more they're viewed.
Sanders,
Thanks.
They do, now that mentioned it.
Simple beauty is something that is always there, but sometimes hard to capture. Nicely done with the wonderful photos. You have done a fine job of capturing the simplistic beauty of the adventure that is Fly Fishing. Great Post. Tight Lines.
ReplyDeleteI've found it very difficult to capture depth in b&w landscapes. Ansel Adams was a master, but few achieve his level of skill.
ReplyDeleteTrout Magee,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Simplicity, this is why I love the small stream.
Uncomplicated. That helps me take better photo's.
Gary,
Thanks.
Adams was the best.
Great photos! But I will always prefer my brookies in color!
ReplyDeleteKiwi,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I really do to.
