Over the course of time spent fishing I have taken many photos. Some of them of real interesting, and some well you say to yourself why did I take that picture.
These are a few photos of some of my odd, I mean photos that I took that had no special meaning but after looking at them much later are not to bad.
An old Medalist. Lots of turns of the handle with this one....still going strong.
A head on view of some workers.
The black and white version of two of the best.
Everything sweet.
An old covered bridge. It spans the headwaters of the Connecticut River in Northern New Hampshire.
Great photos! Its fun to look back through all the photos you have taken over the years.
ReplyDeleteI really dig the smokey, medalist, bomber, and cover bridge photo. The cover bridge photo you should submit to FishPond.
Johnny Utah
Brk Trt,
ReplyDeleteLooking at your photo's they're great!
Last evening I watched Boston's channel 5 Chronicle's Main street & Backroads, which was on Rangley Maine. They had nice coverage on Carrie Stevens & her streamers she created, as well as covering Cornelia "fly rod" Crosby. Also Fly fishing below the upper dam.
It was tastefully done & reminded me of your great blog....DRYFLYGUY
Johnny Utah,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I like the Medalist photo. Black and White gos along with the year of the reel.
Fishpond...that's an idea.
DRYFLYGUY,
Thanks.
Channel 5 is that a PBS station? I would have loved to see that program.
Do you know if is going to be rebroadcasted again?
I like the black and white photo's. There are a couple that are familiar to me (the medalist -still have one, and the bridge over Perry stream)
ReplyDeleteMy first fly reel was a medalist. The big model, and i caught my first bass on it. Smokey the Bear is still around.
ReplyDeleteLove the covered bridge photo...we lived in NH for 10 years and not a day goes by that I don't miss that beautiful State!
ReplyDeleteOdd is good. And always interesting. I like "the two best"....hauntingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMark,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Certain objects just look great in B&W.
Savage,
Thanks.
The Medalist was a fine reel. Smokey is a great symbol.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
NH does have a lot to offer. So many small streams with willing brookies.
e.m.b.,
Thanks.
Odd is definitely good. Not only the photo, but they work so well.
Tie a few up and give them a try.
A fun way to look back...the "two best" look like just the ticket.
ReplyDeleteI really like this "some photos from over the years" idea for a blog post. The bombers and the bridge are great photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! The last one is Magazine quality!
ReplyDeletenice job sir.
Those are some wonderful photos. I really like the flies and the bridge ones. That Neapolitan desert looks delicious too. Tight Lines.
ReplyDeleteSanders,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Those two account for most of my fish on small streams.
PdeW,
Thanks.
Those two photos came out well.
G Lech,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Weathered, rustic covered bridge, it had to be B&W.
Trout MaGee,
Thanks.
That dessert was so good. I guess you and I are the only guys to have a sweet tooth.
Brk Trt,
ReplyDeleteto answer your earlier question on Bostons channel 5's chronicle & the coverage of Rangley Maine? Its not a PBS channel, though its regular network television. You may not receive that boston channel in the area that you live.
I did copy the links that I found online for you, though they are in segments. Enjoy!!
