Saturday afternoon

We have another sitting gig for our grand dog "Parker". So yesterday afternoon we put some stuff together and headed off to north west Connecticut. There are many areas to walk, take photos, swim, and oh so many things to sniff and investigate. The woods are just starting to show goldenrod, this beautiful plant is one of my favorites for to me it's the first sign of a coming season change.

Many wild flowers are in full bloom while others are in a decline. On this outing we saw many of both.

One of the first swimming areas we came to was a bit rough. While Parker enjoyed the refreshing drink they offered he prefers somewhat subdued waters to wade in.

Parker
A little further up we found the perfect spot to swim, and that he did. He took to the lake and showed us how it's done. We let him enjoy himself and that he did.

After several hours of walking, swimming, and drinking enough water to quench the thirst of an elephant we headed home. After a day like that we all slept very well.

Even if that thought were to enter the mind I have a dozen or so people who would physically knock it out.

  3. We all love goldenrod, especially during hayfever season. Even looking at pictures of it make me sneeze.

He's a peach Mike. No rod, just Parker, though he said it would be alright to fish.

The changing of the seasons is always a colorful time of the year. It just seemed like yesterday we had fall; the older we get the faster time passes. Parker is one lucky dog!!
