"John's Pond" A Streamer

I have not tied a streamer in some time, so the other day I sat down to tie one up and present it to you.

The streamer is "John's Pond" and it's named after a beautiful area in the western Maine mountains. John's Pond is located among fir trees and birch and it's trails and mountains have been walked by me many times. The streamer is tied in the Rangeley style and it captures the beauty of the area.

Will it's enjoyable to catch a few brookies on a fly that was created for them decades ago. I have another one coming.

Sam, if I get back up there I'll sure give it a try, or perhaps later October on the Farmington.

  8. Alan your streamers are my favorite fly you tie,I think it's because, number one I don't see anyone tie them and secondly they are flat out beautiful. Some day when I retire I am going to spend more time learning about them. In the meantime I will enjoy yours. Sometime email me as to what you would charge me to own one. Thankyou that fly is beautiful.

Brad the long fly has interested me since the mid 70's but it wasn't until my first grand child was born in 2000 that I picked up the bobbin and started tying them. It's been a wonderful experience. E-mail will follow.
