As of last Friday we have returned to winter. Snow and cold have taken hold for now but a moderating trend is coming. So with the time available I turned to the tying desk and pumped out a few streamers. This is one that I find to be pleasing, both to tie as well as view.

Mark it's pretty for sure but I'd love to see it fished for some Calif. steelhead.
Alan, that's a beautiful fly! I'd sure like to see you tie in person. Ever been to Denver?

Yes sir my friend.
A beautifully tied streamer Alan. Is it designed to catch brookies, fly fishermen or both!!!!

Pete they are designed to catch fishermen first..then come the fish.
You tie beautiful streamers, Alan, including the one you sent me from the contest. I mounted it within a trout picture that my daughter painted for me for Christmas. It looks great in there and I look at it often.

Sam the trout picture painted by your daughter is probably one of the finest gifts you can get.
I'll bet it looks great.
Alan, you know I'm someone who go on and on in my comments, but this time I can only think of the word " awesome " . Thankyou.

Brad we enjoy your words, they add a great deal to this group.....
Perpetually Beautiful, Alan! On one hand it should be in a fly case display on the wall, and, on the other hand bringing home the mighty Steelhead as you mentioned.
