A wonderful few hours this day on a small stream. Although it was a bit windy, and the sun was bright, I was able to bring a few to hand.
Spring color
Riffle to pool. Classic small stream.
An old fish camp?
Wild brook and brown trout from the same stream.
They look almost like popcorn.

Great job on the photos! Small stream fan, myself.
ReplyDeleteThat riffle to pool picture is beautiful....nice fish too.
ReplyDeleteCasey,
ReplyDeleteWelcome and thanks.
Ed, Thanks.
That part of this stream is beautiful. Don't know why I don't fish it more.
Beautiful, Brk Trt. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose fish are stellar. I'd certainly fish it more...
ReplyDeleteNice pics as always! Nice fly too. Looks like it really stands out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little fish. I love the pictures you post...always taking me there.
ReplyDeletedeanwo,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit, and comment.
CD,
Thanks
Savage,
ReplyDeleteThanks. The fly is a simple pattern, but it can be effective at times.
Mike,
Thanks.
What I like is that not only do you show pics of beautiful fish but also the environment that makes trout fishing so enjoyable. Great eye for the picturesque.
ReplyDeleteVery nice pics as always ! Can't say I've ever seen a bright pink fly, curious what it is
ReplyDeleteI like the brookie picture! Like Mark, I was wondering what kind of fly that was.
ReplyDeleteJoel,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I agree, there is so much wonder that surrounds a trout stream.
Mark,
Thanks. It's a pattern I put together. After reading many of Midge Mans posts on aquatic worms, I tied up that one pictured, and they really went for it.
Kiwi,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I posted the idea of the worm pattern above. I'll do a post on the fly soon.
Felt like I was there...great photos! The color of that flower in the second photo was spectacular...the brook trout wasn't bad either :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat Pics and beautiful fish. Browns and Brooks same stream?????? Tiger Trout next maybe??? That would be awesome. Thanks for sharing your day. Tight Lines
ReplyDeleteSanders,
ReplyDeleteThanks. This time of year, as in the fall, nature can produce some beautiful art.
Trout Magee,
Thanks. I have taken a few tigers not very far from those photos.
Since I became a "Small Stream Reflection" fan,
ReplyDeleteIt was clear to see that catching trout was all part of the plan,
And that Brk Trt man brings 'em to hand!
penbayman,
ReplyDeleteThis Brk Trt man appreciates you stopping by.
Thanks
