A Few Day's In May

These days of May have been wonderful. Warm days and cool nights. The streams have been a bit on the low side, but the waters have remained cool. Some rain of the past week has helped. The fields and the woods have really greened up, plenty of wild flowers blooming. I probably enjoy the walks to and along the streams as much as I love the fishing.

Elk Hair Caddis results

Bright, beautiful colors in the field. Wild as the colors in the stream.

A beautiful wild jewel.

All thats needed for a few hours.

This brookie had a taste for the Bomber

Prime wild brook trout habitat.

  1. Excellent post as usual. I'm going to have to learn to tie that bomber this winter. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Looks like a fantastic day out on the water. Beautiful specks!!

  3. Once again, great pics! I love those brookies and the small streams you fish. Thanks.
