A day hike in the Berkshires

Jeanette and I paid a visit to a small stream located in the Massachusetts Berkshires. It holds wild brook trout and I have at one time caught a wild brown there, one never knows. The stream was in excellent condition. The flows were much better than I expected. I did not intend to fish today so a fly rod was not in hand. Today was reserved for a walk in the woods and enjoying all that nature puts forth. The weather could not have been better. Wall to wall sunshine a light breeze and temps in the seventies. What a day for a hike. If that stream hold's this way the Autumn fishing should be wonderful.

Interesting colors

How simple can it be. Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

  2. Hard to beat a hike in beautiful country, especially with someone you love. And those colors on the leaves are quite unusual but captivating nonetheless.

I'm happy you enjoyed the scenes, colors & beauties of the area out my way. The season has started to change as you probably noticed.

That Chicken dinner looks yummy as well, and just the way I like it. Simple & straight forward with the best thing on the plate, mashies.

    Thanks for letting us enjoy............Phil

  6. When I was a kid (BFF, before fly-fishing, our home in Columbia County, NY was in sight of the Berkshires, a beautiful range. I should try fishing there some day.
