Well Mothers Day weekend is upon us. It's sad that it can't be everyday. Wishing all moms a very wonderful day.
Mothers Day and I'm sure if I asked Jeanette would let me sneak a few hours on the stream, she's that kind of person. But I'm not asking for I was able to enjoy yesterday afield. The day was good, the rain held off to well after I was home. The brookies were so good to me, and I didn't loose a fly, in fact I only used one fly this day.
I paused here for a spell drinking a coffee. I know that most of you have some major pressure in your lives. A ten minute pause here would relieve that pressure. So grab a coffee, open a window and look at the photo....
Did I ever tell you I prefer to fish fast broken water....well I do and you should do so also. Pretty things lurk in such areas.
This little jewel came from some turbulent waters. One of many today.
Now that's a trout fly. Pretty common insect on the streams?
Beautiful images, thank you for sharing.

Well thank you Mark, it's appreciated.
Thanks again for those wonderful photos Alan. I opened the window as you suggested and got soaked. It's raining, hailing and who knows what else outside today. And let me mention one more time...#Googlesucks!

Looks like a weather tossed salad.
No argument on google.
Alan, glad to see another post. The stone wall, natural or man made? The fly I assume is a dry caddis? Interesting tie. Looks like a softie with dry fly hackle and a downswing added, cool looking. Thankyou as always on your photos.

Brad the wall is man made. There are many here in CT, some from colonial days. It's a caddis pattern. Elk for the wing and a couple of turns of cock hackle. Floats well and the brookies love it.

Bill broken water is my favorite places to fish. Even those time when the long slick pool may be holding more fish.
I love day's when you have it figured out right out of the gate. Makes things much more enjoyable.
